AN EXPERIENCE ON LIVING DONOR LIVER TRANSPLANTATION FOR COLORECTAL LIVER METASTASIS IN SOUTH AMERICA: A NEW ERA IN TRANSPLANT ONCOLOGY

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Complete surgical resection is the treatment of choice for patients with liver metastases, but in some patients, it not possible to obtain a complete R0 resection. Moreover, recurrence rate up 75% after three years. After experience Oslo group cadaveric transplant, centers are starting their transplant colorectal metastasis. AIMS: To present our initial living donor METHODS: From 2019 2022, four transplants were performed metastases according criteria. RESULTS: Four underwent transplants, male/female ratio was 3:1, mean age 52.5 (42–68 years). All included criteria transplant. Two had already been submitted The decision occurred discussion multidisciplinary team. Three recurred procedure and patient number 3 died chemotherapy. CONCLUSIONS: Living viable option metastasis Brazil, due shortage donors.
